CyberSec Story
CyberSec Academy stands as a remarkable example of giving back and making a difference.
Founded by Marvin James Gomez, a seasoned cybersecurity professional with over 30 years of experience, the academy was dedicated to empowering marginalized groups, including veterans, by providing them with the tools and training needed to launch careers in cybersecurity.
With a projected global shortage of 3 million cybersecurity specialists by 2025, CyberSec Academy aimed to address this critical gap while creating opportunities for underrepresented individuals. Marvin’s vision and passion offered hope for a more inclusive and skilled cybersecurity workforce.
Tragically, the onset of COVID-19 curtailed this initiative before it could fully realize its potential. However, the legacy of CyberSec Academy remains an inspiring testament to the impact one individual’s commitment to giving back can have on an industry and on people’s lives.
